Absence of a local rest frame in far from equilibrium quantum matter
In a collision of strongly coupled quantum matter we find that the dynamics of the collision produces regions where a local rest frame cannot be defined because the energy-momentum tensor does not have a real time-like eigenvector.

Multi-Parametric Investigations on White Etching Crack Formation in Deep Grove Ball Bearings
Research on White Etching Cracks (WEC) in multiple bearing applications has identified various drivers that cause them. Lubricants and electricity combined with contact mechanics have been proven to catalyze WEC significantly.

Energy Conditions in Higher Derivative $f(R,\Box R,T)$ Gravity
In this paper, we examined the viability bounds of a higher derivative $f(R,\Box R, T)$ theory through analyzing energy conditions (where $R$ and $T$ are the Ricci scalar and trace of energy momentum tensor, respectively). We take flat Friedmann-Lema\^{i}

Higher Dimensional Wormhole Geometries with Compact Dimensions
This paper studies wormhole solutions to Einstein gravity with an arbitrary number of time dependent compact dimensions and a matter-vacuum boundary. A new gauge is utilized which is particularly suited for studies of the wormhole throat.

Effects of WEC Geometry on the Performance of a WEC Array-VLFS Integrated System
This study focuses on analysing the effects of wave energy converter (WEC) geometry on the performance of an integrated system comprising a WEC array and a very large floating structure (VLFS).

The Power Take-Off (PTO) system is the key component of a Wave Energy Converter (WEC) that distinguishes it from a simple floating body because the uptake of the energy by the PTO system modifies the wave field surrounding the WEC.

A Survey of WEC Reliability, Survival and Design Practices
A wave energy converter must be designed to survive and function efficiently, often in highly energetic ocean environments. This represents a challenging engineering problem, comprising systematic failure mode analysis, environmental characterization ...
