Optimizing WEDM Parameters Using Swarm Intelligence: A Multi‐Objective Approach to Improve Machinability and Cost‐Efficiency

This study optimizes WEDM parameters for Inconel 800 using Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) to improve material removal rate, surface finish, and cost‐efficiency. This study compares EDM wire cutting and CO2 laser cutting for AISI 316L and 304 stainless steel sheets. Key cutting parameters influencing surface roughness and morphology were analyzed.
