Influence of row spacing and weed control methods on weed population dynamics in soybean (Glycine max L.)

International Journal of Pest Management, 2020
Weed infestation is a major factor attributed for the poor yield of soybean. Field experiments were therefore conducted to evaluate the influence of row spacing and weed control methods on weed dynamics, seed yield and profitability of soybean.

Thermal method to control dangerous weeds

Cereal Research Communications, 2007
We got useful information in accordance with dangerous weed species and about sunflower achenes how to control the mentioned seeds with the use of flame weeder. Flamed sunflower achenes germination was 92% at 3,5km/h; 88% at 3km/h; 85% at 2,5km/h and 80% at 2km/h speed. On the basis of our opinion the effect of on sunflower stubble applied weed flaming

A Comparison of Raspberry Weed Control Methods

Journal of Small Fruit & Viticulture, 1994
ABSTRACT Grass and clover cover crops, rototilling, hand weeding, sawdust mulch, and pre-emergence herbicides were evaluated for their effects on yield, berry weight, and total soluble solids in summer-bearing red raspberries. With the exception of total soluble solids during 1990, none of the evaluation criteria were significantly affected by the weed

Weeds and methods of weed control in vineyard

Vinski krug, 2005

NITROGEN UPTAKE BY WEEDS AND RICE CROP UNDER DIFFERENT WEED CONTROL METHODS

Madras Agricultural Journal, 1995
The field experiment conducted during kharif season of 1988 and 1989 at Varanasi (U.P.) revealed that nitrogen removal by both crop and weeds increased with increase in fertility of soil. However, narrow spacing helped to reduce nitrogen uptake by weeds and it was less with two hand weeding followed by butachlor + one hand weeding.

A COMPARISON OF METHODS OF RECORDING HERBACEOUS WEEDS IN WEED CONTROL EXPERIMENTS

Weed Research, 1963
Summary. In herbicide studies close correlation between results given by the square quadrat method and by a point quadrat method for assessing the number and frequency of weed species was found. Marked correlations between the density obtained by the square quadrat and the cover and yield indices obtained by the point quadrat method were observed ...

Weed Control Methods for River Basin Management

2018
Aquatic plants continue to create problems associated with navigation, flood control, agriculture, irrigation and drainage, values of lands, conservation of wildlife and fisheries, and water resource supply. While much research is being done to find more effective and economic control measures, there is now a great need to apply known facts to achieve ...
