Genotype and cropping system influenced oilseed rape ecophysiological traits, including glucosinolate compounds (glucoraphanin, glucobrassicanapin, and butyl‐glucosinolates) and biomass, which were linked to Psylliodes chrysocephala larval infestation, with varietal effects stronger than faba bean companion planting.

Effects of bioinsecticide exposure route on aphids and their natural enemies in oilseed rape
Fatty acids, silicone polymers and surfactants reduced aphid numbers but caused natural enemy mortality under direct exposure, while minimal residual activity suggests potential for targeted, compatible use in integrated pest management. Abstract BACKGROUND Myzus persicae Sulzer and Brevicoryne brassicae L.

Interference Periods of Weeds Infesting Maize Crop
When competing with crops, weeds interfere with their growth and consequently reduce grain yield. The purpose of this research was to determine the periods of interference; PIP (pre-interference period), TPWC (total period of weed control), and CPWC (critical period of weed control) of the weeds Alexandergrass (Urochloa plantaginea) and southern ...

The cabbage stem flea beetle (Psylliodes chrysocephala) is a major pest of winter oilseed rape (Brassica napus). We tested B. napus and Sinapis alba seedlings for feeding resistance and underlying chemical defenses. S. alba was least damaged, while metabolite profiles revealed resistance‐linked compounds, highlighting breeding potential for insect ...
