Weibull, κ-Weibull and Other Probability Distributions [PDF]
Here we will consider a function of κ-statistics, the κ-Weibull distribution, and compare it to the well-known Weibull distribution. The κ-Weibull will be also compared to the 3-parameter extended Weibull function, obtained according to the Marshall–Olkin extended distributions.

Weibull, κ-Weibull and 3-parameter extended Weibull distributions
Here we will consider a function of κ-statistics, the κ-Weibull distribution, and compare it to the well-known Weibull distribution. The κ-Weibull will be also compared to the 3-parameter extended Weibull function, obtained according to the Marshall–Olkin extended distributions. The log-logistic distribution will be considered for comparison too.

Nanoscale Weibull statistics [PDF]
In this paper a modification of the classical Weibull statistics is developed for nanoscale applications. It is called nanoscale Weibull statistics. A comparison between nanoscale and classical Weibull statistics applied to experimental results on fracture strength of carbon nanotubes clearly shows the effectiveness of the proposed modification.

THE COMPARISON SOME EXTENDED WEIBULL DISTRIBUTION (WEIBULL (W), EXPONENTIATED WEIBULL (EW), EXPONENTIATED EXPONENTIAL WEIBULL (EEW) AND ADDITIVE WEIBULL (AW)) FOR THE WIND SPEED PROBABILITY MODELLING [PDF]
Accurate wind speed modeling is critical in estimating wind energy potential for harnessing wind power effectively. One of the bases for assessment of wind energy potential for a specified region is the probability distribution of wind speed, therefore wind speed data is needed to produce statistical modeling, especially in determining the best ...

Exponentiated Transmuted Weibull Distribution A Generalization Of The Weibull Distribution
This paper introduces a new generalization of the two parameter Weibull distribution. To this end, the quadratic rank transmutation map has been used. This new distribution is named exponentiated transmuted Weibull (ETW) distribution. The ETW distribution has the advantage of being capable of modeling various shapes of aging and failure criteria ...

Study of Morphology and Secondary Droplet Behaviors during Droplets Impacting on Static Hot Film
The phenomenon of droplet impacting on hot film exists widely in nature and engineering applications. Considering limitations in current researches, an experimental setup to record the process of droplets impacting on hot film was built in this paper ...

The Weibull–log Weibull distribution for interoccurrence times of earthquakes [PDF]
By analyzing the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) seismic catalog for different tectonic settings, we have found that the probability distributions of time intervals between successive earthquakes --interoccurrence times-- can be described by the superposition of the Weibull distribution and the log-Weibull distribution.

The Weibull-geometric distribution [PDF]
In this paper we introduce, for the first time, the Weibull-Geometric distribution which generalizes the exponential-geometric distribution proposed by Adamidis and Loukas (1998). The hazard function of the last distribution is monotone decreasing but the hazard function of the new distribution can take more general forms.
