Model‐Based Meta‐Analysis of the Relationship Between Pioglitazone and Histological Outcomes in Metabolic Dysfunction‐Associated Steatohepatitis Patients

open access: yesCPT: Pharmacometrics &Systems Pharmacology, Volume 15, Issue 2, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Given the high prevalence of the population who have metabolic dysfunction‐associated steatohepatitis (MASH), interest is growing in MASH‐targeted treatments. However, currently, there has been only one regulatory approved drug for MASH (Rezdiffra).

Robust Confidence Intervals for Process Capability Index Based on Cost and Loss Functions With Bootstrap Enhancement

open access: yesQuality and Reliability Engineering International, Volume 42, Issue 1, Page 212-224, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Process capability indices (PCIs) are commonly used to evaluate a process's performance in relation to the standards. Greater PCIs do not necessarily translate into lower rejection rates, even though they do indicate a higher level of process quality. Thus, a loss‐ and cost‐based PCI is a better way to measure process capability.

Deep Neural Network With a Smooth Monotonic Output Layer for Dynamic Risk Prediction

open access: yesStatistics in Medicine, Volume 45, Issue 3-5, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Risk prediction is a key component of survival analysis across various fields, including medicine, public health, economics, engineering, and others. The fundamental concern of risk prediction lies in the joint distribution of risk factors and the time to event.

A Path‐Specific Effect Approach to Mediation Analysis With Time‐Varying Mediators and Time‐to‐Event Outcomes Accounting for Competing Risks

open access: yesStatistics in Medicine, Volume 45, Issue 3-5, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Not accounting for competing events in survival analysis can lead to biased estimates, as individuals who die from other causes do not have the opportunity to develop the event of interest. Formal definitions and considerations for causal effects in the presence of competing risks have been published, but not for the mediation analysis setting

A Functional Joint Model for Survival and Multivariate Sparse Functional Data in Multi‐Cohort Alzheimer's Disease Study

open access: yesStatistics in Medicine, Volume 45, Issue 3-5, February 2026.
ABSTRACT We develop an integrative joint model for multivariate sparse functional and survival data to analyze Alzheimer's disease (AD) across multiple studies. To address missing‐by‐design outcomes in multi‐cohort studies, our approach extends the multivariate functional mixed model (MFMM), which integrates longitudinal outcomes to extract shared ...
