Development and Testing of a Railway Bridge Weigh-in-Motion System
This study describes the development and testing of a railway bridge weigh-in-motion (RB-WIM) system. The traditional bridge WIM (B-WIM) system developed for road bridges was extended here to calculate the weights of railway carriages.

An estimation method for pavement weigh-in-motion system with preliminary experiment
Accurately and reliably measuring the gross weight and static load of the axles of moving vehicles, especially trucks, is important for preventing road damage and improving traffic safety and monitoring efficiency. This type of vehicle weight measurement

Weigh-in-Motion Systems Review: Methods for Axle and Gross Vehicle Weight Estimation
Weigh-In-Motion (WIM) systems dynamically measure vehicle weight, eliminating the need for vehicle stoppage on static scales. These systems are the most convenient way to identify overweight vehicles, one of the main causes of pavement damage.

Abstract To persuade creditors to lend, cities in the Low Countries relied on a community responsibility system that made all citizens personally liable for public debt. This exposed itinerant citizens to significant risks: their merchandise could be confiscated by creditors, and they could even be imprisoned for debt.

Detection of Moving Load on Pavement Using Piezoelectric Sensors
More and more researches have been carried out recently on Weigh-In-Motion (WIM) technology for solving the traffic safety problems caused by overload. In this article, we aim to study the measurement accuracy of the WIM system.

Low breeding propensity in a declining Arctic‐breeding swan revealed by telemetry data
Many migratory bird populations are declining in the face of habitat degradation and climate change, making it important to identify which stages of their annual cycle are most affected in order to guide conservation measures. The Bewick's Swan Cygnus columbianus bewickii, an Arctic‐breeding waterfowl species, has suffered a dramatic population decline
