The relationship between the weight-adjusted waist circumference index (WWI) and the senescence-inhibitory protein Klotho remains unknown. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the relationship between WWI and soluble Klotho (s-Klotho). This study analyzed 9,928 participants based on the 2007-2016 National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey ...

This study investigated the association between C‐reactive protein‐triglyceride‐glucose index (CTI) and cardiometabolic multimorbidity (CMM) over a 9‐year follow‐up in a Chinese middle‐aged and older population. Higher CTI levels were significantly associated with an increased risk of CMM.

ABSTRACT Background The optimal protocol for clinical liver 31P‐magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) remains unclear. Single‐voxel 31P‐MRS using image‐selected in vivo spectroscopy (ISIS) employs respiratory‐triggering (RT) or free‐breathing (FB) acquisition.

Abstract Background This study investigated the cross‐sectional association between periodontal status and left ventricular (LV) geometry and function, an early and prognostically relevant marker of cardiovascular disease. Methods Data were drawn from two population‐based cohorts in the Study of Health in Pomerania (SHIP): SHIP‐START‐2 (N = 2333) and ...

Joint association of weight-adjusted waist index and serum cotinine levels with systemic inflammatory index in adults. [PDF]
Systemic immune inflammation index (SII) and systemic inflammation response index (SIRI) have recently emerged as more comprehensive indicators of systemic inflammation. However, few studies have been conducted to evaluate the effect of serum cotinine levels and weight-adjusted waist index (WWI) with SII and SIRI.

ABSTRACT Metabolic dysfunction‐associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) and obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) are comorbid conditions that synergistically increase cardiovascular risk through systemic inflammation and insulin resistance. While continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) is the standard treatment for OSA, its efficacy in improving hepatic ...

The metabolic inter-relationships between changes in waist circumference, triglycerides, insulin sensitivity and small, dense low-density lipoprotein particles with acute weight loss in clinically obese children and adolescents. [PDF]
OBJECTIVE: Small, dense low-density lipoprotein (LDL) particles are highly atherogenic and strongly associated with obesity-related dyslipidemia. The metabolic inter-relationships between weight loss induced changes in waist circumference, triglycerides,
