Lifestyle modification in atrial fibrillation: Mechanisms, phenotypes and ablation outcomes
Abstract Atrial fibrillation (AF) is the most prevalent sustained cardiac arrhythmia and is associated with significant morbidity, mortality and healthcare utilization. Catheter ablation is increasingly used as a rhythm‐control intervention for patients with symptomatic paroxysmal and persistent AF, yet recurrence rates remain suboptimal.

Abstract Orthostatic stress reduces venous return and stroke volume (SV), risking cerebral hypoperfusion despite autonomic compensation. Although lower‐limb counterpressure manoeuvres improve cerebral perfusion in upright posture, their effects on cerebral blood velocity (CBV) during lower‐body negative pressure (LBNP) and the associated mechanisms are

Abstract figure legend Benefits of performing physical exercise at moderate altitude. At moderate altitude, increased resting metabolic rate and physical exertion promote physical fitness and exercise tolerance, whereas hypoxia suppresses appetite and elicits adaptations that increase tissue O2 delivery while augmenting O2‐independent ATP production ...

This study investigated the association between drinking patterns and multiple metabolic syndrome (MetS) components according to obesity status. Non‐obese individuals, even when drinking less frequently and in smaller amounts, showed a higher risk of possessing multiple MetS components than obese individuals, underscoring the importance of supporting ...
