Abstract Ungulate body fat reserves reflect the nutritional environment, often serving as a useful indicator of bottom‐up resource availability. However, body fat reserves also integrate energetic costs associated with avoiding predation risk and reproductive effort, and it is ...

On the solution of the operator Riccati equations and invariant subspaces in the weighted Bergman space of the unit ball [PDF]
We consider the Riccati operator equations on the weighted Bergman space A 2 α (Bn) of the unit ball Bn in C n and investigate the properties of their solutions.

Isoperimetric inequalities for conformal moments of plane domains
We prove a new sharp inequality for norms in weighted Bergman space. This inequality is then used to derive isoperimetric inequalities for geometric functionals which are closely related to the torsional rigidity of a simply connected domain (F.

In this paper we consider the hyponormality of Toeplitz operators T Φ on the weighted Bergman space with matrix-valued circulant symbols Φ. We give a necessary and sufficient condition for the hyponormality of T Φ with such a symbol Φ under some ...

ABSTRACT Objective This study examines the prospective and bidirectional association between personal identity processes and relationship formation using longitudinal survey data from Finland. Background Although psychological factors have increasingly been studied as determinants for family formation processes, the role of identity exploration and ...

A tale of two microbialites: Stromatolites and microbially induced sedimentary structures
ABSTRACT Microbialites are biosedimentary structures built by microbial mats. Five microbialite groups are distinguished: stromatolites, thrombolites, dendrolites, leiloites and microbially induced sedimentary structures (MISS). This contribution discusses the two most abundant microbialite groups in marine settings, stromatolites and MISS.

Abstract We report the observation of a downward terrestrial gamma‐ray flash (TGF) during the dart‐leader stage in a negative cloud‐to‐ground lightning flash. The observation was recorded by the Telescope Array Surface Detector, in conjunction with a Lightning Mapping Array, an interferometer (INTF), a fast antenna, and a high‐speed camera.

Weighted Composition Operators on a Bergman-type Reproducing Kernel Hilbert Space
In this research, we introduce a Bergman-type reproducing kernel Hilbert space A2 ρ and consider the weighted composition operators uCφ acting on A2 ρ .

Pointwise Bernstein-walsh-type Inequalities In Regions With Piecewise Dini-smooth Boundary
In this work, we investigate the order of growth of the modulus of an arbitrary algebraic polynomials in the weighted Bergman space, where the contour and the weight functions have some singularities.
