A high‐altitude thermal infrared method for estimating moose abundance and demography in Rocky Mountain National Park, USA

open access: yesWildlife Biology, EarlyView.
Resource managers require accurate estimates of large herbivore abundance and demography to maintain ecological integrity. Common methods to count these species, including observations from low altitude helicopter flights, may conflict with other protected area management objectives and struggle to produce precise estimates for more cryptic species. To

Product-type operators from weighted Bergman spaces to Bloch-Orlicz spaces

open access: yes四川大学学报. 自然科学版, 2020
By constructing some suitable test functions in weighted Bergman space, the boundedness and compactness of the product-type operators from the weighted Bergman space to the Bloch-Orlicz space are characterized in terms of the symbol functions in this ...

Apex predators exploit advantageous snow conditions across hunting modes

open access: yesJournal of Animal Ecology, EarlyView.
Advantageous snow conditions—in terms of snow depth and density—are among the most important features of the winter landscape for two apex predators, regardless of hunting strategy. In a warming climate, the knock‐on effects of a diminishing snowpack may reduce the hunting success of multiple large carnivore species.

Weighted iterated radial operators from weighted Bergman-Orlicz spaces to bounded-type spaces

open access: yes四川大学学报. 自然科学版, 2018
The boundedness and compactness of weighted iterated radial operators from weighted Bergman-Orlicz spaces to a class of bounded-type spaces are characterized by constructing some special functions.

Weighted Composition Operators from Weighted Bergman Spaces to Weighted-Type Spaces on the Upper Half-Plane

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2011
Let ψ be a holomorphic mapping on the upper half-plane Π+={z∈ℂ:Jz>0} and φ be a holomorphic self-map of Π+. We characterize bounded weighted composition operators acting from the weighted Bergman space to the weighted-type space on the upper half-plane ...

Opportunities and Alliances: The Relational Dynamics of Criminal Collusion in Latin America

open access: yesThe British Journal of Sociology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Based on ethnographic fieldwork in Mexico and judicial wiretap analysis in Argentina, this paper shows that collusion between state actors and violent non‐state actors operates through fluid and competitive relational networks rather than stable hierarchies or fixed institutional arrangements.

ON SOME EXTREMAL PROBLEMS IN CERTAIN HARMONIC FUNCTION SPACES OF SEVERAL VARIABLES RELATED TO MIXED NORM SPACES [PDF]

open access: yesПроблемы анализа, 2013
In this paper we provide some (not new) estimates on distances from our two previous papers together with some new estimates. Namely some estimates on distances in spaces of harmonic functions in the unit ball and the upper half space are provided.

Composition operators on weighted Bergman-Orlicz spaces [PDF]

open access: yesBulletin of the Australian Mathematical Society, 2007
In this paper, composition operators acting on Bergman-Orlicz spaces are studied, where ψ is a non-constant, non-decreasing convex function defined on (-∞, ∞) which satisfies the growth condition . In fact, under a mild condition on ∞, we show that every holomorphic-self map ∞ of induces a bounded composition operator on and C∞ is compact on if and ...

Extending reliability to intensive longitudinal data with the Kalman filter

open access: yesBritish Journal of Mathematical and Statistical Psychology, EarlyView.
Abstract Reliability is central to how researchers approach measurement in standard, group‐based analyses of single‐time‐point data, yet this critical aspect is often overlooked in the analysis of repeated observations. Since its inception, reliability has been a between‐person concept, but we redevelop this notion for within‐person designs by ...
