An unexpected alternative viologen electron mediator site in tungsten‐containing formate dehydrogenase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
An unexpected alternative interaction site for ethyl viologen was identified in formate dehydrogenase 1 from Methylorubrum extorquens. Combined mutagenesis, kinetic analysis, and docking revealed that aromatic residues near an iron–sulfur cluster enable flavin mononucleotide‐independent electron transfer, offering a framework for engineering improved ...

Differences of weighted composition operators from Hardy space to weighted-type spaces on the unit ball [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
summary:In this paper, we limit our analysis to the difference of the weighted composition operators acting from the Hardy space to weighted-type space in the unit ball of $\mathbb {C}^N$, and give some necessary and sufficient conditions for their ...

Dynamics of weighted composition operators on weighted Banach spaces of entire functions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
We study the dynamics of the weighted composition operator Cw,ϕ on the weighted Banach spaces of entire functions Hv(C) and H0 v (C). We characterize the continuity and compactness of the operator and, in the case of affine symbols ϕ(z) = az+b, a, b ∈

2-Complex Symmetric Weighted Composition Operators on the Weighted Bergman Space of the Unit Ball

open access: yesAxioms
There are two aims in this paper. One is to completely characterize complex symmetric and 2-complex symmetric weighted composition operators induced by some special symbols on the weighted Bergman space of the unit ball, and the other is to fully ...

Weighted Iterated Radial Composition Operators between Some Spaces of Holomorphic Functions on the Unit Ball

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2010
The boundedness and compactness of weighted iterated radial composition operators from the mixed-norm space to the weighted-type space and the little weighted-type space on the unit ball are characterized here.

Electron transfer between complexes III and IV in S. cerevisiae mitochondrial membranes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation in S. cerevisiae mitoplasts is limited by complex IV catalytic capacity, rather than two‐dimensional cytochrome c diffusion. At physiological cytochrome c : supercomplex ratios at salinity equivalent to that of 20 mm monovalent salt, activity is maximized, indicating that this low ionic strength accurately mimics

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Hermitian weighted composition operators on 𝐻² [PDF]

open access: yesTransactions of the American Mathematical Society, 2010
Weighted composition operators have been related to products of composition operators and their adjoints and to isometries of Hardy spaces. In this paper, we identify the Hermitian weighted composition operators on

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...
