This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

A new modified Kies Fréchet distribution: Applications of mortality rate of Covid-19
The purpose of this paper is to identify an effective statistical distribution for examining COVID-19 mortality rates in Canada and Netherlands in order to model the distribution of COVID-19.

In situ molecular organization and heterogeneity of the Legionella Dot/Icm T4SS
We present a nearly complete in situ model of the Legionella Dot/Icm type IV secretion system, revealing its central secretion channel and identifying new components. Using cryo‐electron tomography with AI‐based modeling, our work highlights the structure, variability, and mechanism of this complex nanomachine, advancing understanding of bacterial ...

Equity Weighting and the Marginal Damage Costs of Climate Change [PDF]
Climate change would impact different countries differently, and different countries have different levels of development. Equity-weighted estimates of the (marginal) impact of greenhouse gas emissions reflect these differences. Equity-weighted estimates

Some Weighted Estimates for Multilinear Fourier Multiplier Operators
We first provide a weighted Fourier multiplier theorem for multilinear operators which extends Theorem 1.2 in Fujita and Tomita (2012) by using Lr-based Sobolev spaces ...

Gradient estimates for a weighted nonlinear parabolic equation and applications
This paper derives elliptic gradient estimates for positive solutions to a nonlinear parabolic equation defined on a complete weighted Riemannian manifold.

Using modern techniques of dyadic harmonic analysis, we are able to prove sharp estimates for the Bergman projection and Berezin transform and more general operators in weighted Bergman spaces on the unit ball in $\mathbb{C}^n$.

In this paper, we consider a generic scheme that allows building weighted versions of various quantile estimators, such as traditional quantile estimators based on linear interpolation of two order statistics, the Harrell-Davis quantile estimator and its trimmed modification.

The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

Weighted decoupling estimates and the Bochner-Riesz means
We prove new weighted decoupling estimates. As an application, we give an improved sufficient condition for almost everywhere convergence of the Bochner-Riesz means of arbitrary $L^p$ functions for ...
