Weighted universal bit allocation: optimal multiple quantization matrix coding [PDF]
We introduce a two-stage bit allocation algorithm analogous to the algorithm for weighted universal vector quantization (WUVQ). The encoder uses a collection of possible bit allocations (typically in the form of a collection of quantization matrices ...

Four Dimensional Matrix Operators on the Double Series Spaces of Weighted Means
The main purpose in this study is to investigate some topological and algebraic properties of the double series space |N ̅_(p,q) |_k defined by the absolute double weighted summability methods for k≥1. Beside this, we determine the α-dual of the double series space |N ̅_(p,q) |_1 and the β(bp)- and γ- duals of the double series space |N ̅_(p,q) |_k for

Remarks on Nehari's problem, matrix $A_2$ condition, and weighted bounded mean oscillation
We consider Nehari's problem in the case of non-uniqueness of solution. The solution set is then parametrized by the unit ball of $H^{\infty}$ by means of so-called {\em regular generators} -- bounded holomorphic functions $ϕ$. The definition of {\em regularity} is given below, but let us mention now that 1) the following assumption on modulus of $ϕ ...

Early‐life exposure to a high‐fat diet altered intact Achilles tendons in rat offspring, making them thinner, stiffer, and molecularly distinct even without injury. These findings suggest that developmental high‐fat diet exposure may impair tendon quality and increase susceptibility to mechanical overload or tendon injury later in life.

In a murine model of myocardial ischemia and reperfusion (MI/R), the CD36 azapeptide ligand MPE‐298 reduces cardiac injury and transiently lowers left ventricular long‐chain fatty acids (LCFAs) accumulation 3 h after reperfusion, accompanied by a decrease of oxidative stress and inflammation‐associated genes' expression in the heart and adipose tissue.

Patterns of Postictal Abnormalities in Relation to Status Epilepticus in Adults
ABSTRACT Objective Abnormalities on peri‐ictal diffusion‐weighted magnetic resonance imaging (DWI‐PMAs) are well‐established for patients with status epilepticus (SE), but knowledge on patterns of DWI‐PMAs and their prognostic impact is sparse. Methods This systematic review and individual participant data meta‐analysis included observational studies ...

Whole‐Body Pattern of Muscle Degeneration and Progression in Sarcoglycanopathies
ABSTRACT Objective To characterize whole‐body intramuscular fat distribution pattern in patients with sarcoglycanopathies and explore correlations with disease severity, duration and age at onset. Methods Retrospective, cross‐sectional, multicentric study enrolling patients with variants in one of the four sarcoglycan genes who underwent whole‐body ...

Inconsistency and non-additive Choquet integration in the Analytic Hierarchy Process [PDF]
We propose to extend the aggregation scheme of Saaty’s AHP, from the stan- dard weighted averaging to the more general Choquet integration. In our model, a measure of inconsistency between criteria is derived from the main pairwise comparison matrix and ...

A matrix application on absolute weighted arithmetic mean summability factors of infinite series
A result of \textit{H. Bor} [Int. J. Anal. Appl. 14, No. 2, 175--179 (2017; Zbl 1384.40004)] regarding \(\left\vert A;\theta _{n}\right\vert _{k}\) summability of infinite series is generalized and improved by application of almost increasing sequences in place of positive non-decreasing ones.

ABSTRACT Objective To investigate the value of constructing models based on habitat radiomics and pathomics for predicting the risk of progression in high‐grade gliomas. Methods This study conducted a retrospective analysis of preoperative magnetic resonance (MR) images and pathological sections from 72 patients diagnosed with high‐grade gliomas (52 ...
