A Wireless Soft Optical Blood Sensor for Colonoscopy

open access: yesAdvanced Sensor Research, EarlyView.
This works presents an “add‐on” wireless soft optical blood sensor for the traditional colonoscopy. It can reliably detect bleeding behind the colonoscope's distal tip camera via optical absorption, without optical fibers, and wirelessly transmit data to the processor.

Dual Foreign Body Response Mitigation Strategies for Implantable Glucose Sensors

open access: yesAdvanced Sensor Research, EarlyView.
The foreign body response negatively impacts the analytical lifetime of implantable glucose sensors due to a heightened immune response and deposition of collagen. While nitric oxide release has shown promise as a foreign body response mitigation strategy, improvement is limited by the duration of release.

Modeling Electrical Transport in Random Networks Composed of Metal‐Oxide Nanowires: The Transition from Junction‐Dominated to Nanowire‐Dominated Regime

open access: yesAdvanced Theory and Simulations, EarlyView.
This study proposes a model for the electrical transport properties of random networks of metal oxide nanowires. Based on the characteristic lengths and energies of nanowires, it allows for discussing the transition from the junction‐dominated to the nanowire‐dominated transport regime.

A High‐Performance Garnet‐Based All‐Solid‐State Battery Fabricated Through Room‐Temperature Ultrasonic Welding

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A room‐temperature ultrasonic treatment enhances the LiMg/LLZO interface, where the Mg framework and in situ formed Li2O/MgO interphase enable a record 4.45 mA cm−2 CCD and a stable cycling for over 1000 h at 1 mA cm−2. Combined with a fluorinated cathode interface, the ASSB delivers 153 mAh g−1 at 0.5 C with 90% capacity retention after 200 cycles ...
