Welding current sensor

Current Distribution Monitoring in Capacitor Discharge Welding

2020 25th IEEE International Conference on Emerging Technologies and Factory Automation (ETFA), 2020
The capacitor discharge welding (CDW) is a resistance welding process that excels through brief process times, low thermal stress, and good automation potential. Nevertheless, potential industrial users hesitate to use the CDW process, owing mainly to the unavailability of automated process control to ensure cost-efficient production and high product ...

Influence of welding current shape on expulsion and weld strength of resistance spot welds

Science and Technology of Welding and Joining, 2006
The present paper presents the influence of welding current shape on weld strength of resistance spot welds of zinc coated mild steel sheets. The influence is analysed at different levels of the electrode wear. Welding currents with different peak values and different RMS (root mean square) values were used in the experiment.

Definition of Peak Value of Welding Current at Pulsed Arc Welding

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2014
Pulsed arc welding is one of the ways to control the process of an electrode metal drop transfer actively. Conditions of an electrode metal directional transfer during a pulse-arc welding were investigated, and provided the basis for welding current peak value calculation.

Current Research Into Laser Welding Aluminium Alloys

SPIE Proceedings, 1989
ABSTRACT Although welding experiments on light alloys (aluminium or titanium based) have been performed since the beginning of the 1980's, the relative techniques have rarely been applied to production. The major difficulties in laser welding these alloys is only partially due to the differing thermal properties of the materials: another feature of ...

Transient processes in welding inverters and their influence on the stability of welding current

Russian Electrical Engineering, 2017
Inverter converters used for dc-arc electric welding have been manufactured by many foreign and domestic companies and showed good results for decades. Until recently, ac welding was carried out only at an industrial frequency of 50 Hz. Earlier, we suggested carrying out arc welding at an increased frequency within the range of 25–75 kHz, proving it to

Toughness and Internal Friction of Weld Metal Welded by High-Current MAG Welding

Advanced Materials Research, 2011
Low-temperature impact test on four different kinds of weld metal welded by different technologies of high-current MAG welding was carried out in this paper. The results show that different materials and different welding parameters have different effect on impact energy.
