Well-Differentiated Liposarcoma With Hibernoma-Like Morphology
International Journal of Surgical Pathology, 2016Well-differentiated liposarcoma (WDL) can show a morphologic spectrum, including lipoma-like, sclerosing and inflammatory subtypes. It does not metastasize but can dedifferentiate, acquiring metastatic potential. Hibernomas are benign neoplasms that show variable differentiation toward brown fat, and can sometimes occur in the abdomen or ...

Well-differentiated liposarcoma (WDLPS) is the most frequent subtype of liposarcoma and may transform into dedifferentiated liposarcoma (DDLPS) which is a more aggressive subtype. Retroperitoneal lesions of WDLPS/DDLPS tend to recur repeatedly due to incomplete resections, and adjuvant chemotherapy and radiotherapy have little effect on patient ...

Well-differentiated and dedifferentiated liposarcomas
Virchows Archiv, 2009Atypical lipomatous tumor or well-differentiated liposarcoma (ALT-WDLPS) and dedifferentiated liposarcoma (DDLPS) share the same basic genetic abnormality characterized by a simple genomic profile with a 12q14-15 amplification involving MDM2 gene. These tumors are the most frequent LPS.

Well-Differentiated Liposarcoma in the Left Face
Journal of Craniofacial SurgeryLiposarcoma is the most prevalent malignant neoplasm originating from mesenchymal tissues, accounting for ~25% of soft tissue sarcomas in adults. It typically occurs in the trunk, limbs, retroperitoneum, and other anatomical regions, while its occurrence in the facial area is relatively rare.

Involvement of Chromosome 12 in Well-Differentiated Liposarcoma
Cancer Genetics and Cytogenetics, 1992It is well known that “accurate classification of a given tumor is often not easy, so much that acknowledged international experts are still unable to pin a label on about 10% of sarcomas”(Fletcher 1990). In this context, the characterization of new tumor markers is of paramount interest for the diagnosis, prognosis, and classification of soft tissue ...

Giant Cervico-mediastinal Well-differentiated Liposarcoma
Heart, Lung and Circulation, 2015Liposarcomas are rare entities and those located in the neck and mediastinum are exceptional. We report the case of a 58 year-old Caucasian male who presented with dysphonia, mild dysphagia to solids, dyspnoea at exertion and cough due to a giant mass of the neck originating from the deep cervical space at C6 vertebral level spreading into the ...

WELL-DIFFERENTIATED LIPOSARCOMA OF THE HAND: Case report
Scandinavian Journal of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Hand Surgery, 2000Malignant lipomatous tumours of the hands are extremely rare. A 62-year-old man complained of an enlarging, soft, painless mass in his left hand. Magnetic resonance imaging showed a fatty tumour with irregular septa, and an incisional biopsy showed it to be a well-differentiated liposarcoma.

Well-Differentiated Liposarcoma
2017Well-differentiated liposarcomas and atypical lipomatous tumors are low-grade fatty malignancies that share the same histopathology. PET/MR imaging is a useful modality to noninvasively differentiate these low-grade malignances from benign lipomas and higher-grade sarcomatous lesions.
