Automatic depth matching method of well log based on deep reinforcement learning

open access: yesPetroleum Exploration and Development
In the traditional well log depth matching tasks, manual adjustments are required, which means significantly labor-intensive for multiple wells, leading to low work efficiency. This paper introduces a multi-agent deep reinforcement learning (MARL) method

Differential expression of cancer‐related genes supports prediction of poor response to first‐line treatments in T‐ALL pediatric patients with high minimal residual disease

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the present work, we have identified a transcriptional signature based on the differential expression of six genes (BCL2&MAST4, HSH2D&LAT2, METRN&PITPNM2) that would facilitate the early detection of T‐cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T‐ALL) patients prone to a poor treatment response and could be implemented at diagnosis, along with other risk ...

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

KDM7A and KDM1A inhibition suppresses tumour promoting pathways in prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Treatment resistance is a major challenge for patients with advanced prostate cancer. This study examined an alternative approach to target the major prostate cancer‐promoting pathway by targeting epigenetic factors, whose levels are higher in tumours.

Shape-Weighted Representation for Well-Log Depth Matching

open access: yesCejing jishu
Depth matching of well logging curves serves as a critical foundation for geological modeling and accurate reservoir parameter evaluation. To address the limitations of existing methods in matching key geological features and capturing nonlinear ...

NKCC1: A key regulator of glioblastoma progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioblastoma (GBM) progression is driven by disrupted chloride cotransporter homeostasis. NKCC1 is highly expressed in stem‐like, astrocytic, and progenitor cells, correlating with earlier recurrence, while overall survival remains unaffected. NKCC1 serves as a prognostic marker and potential therapeutic target, linking chloride transporter imbalance ...

Well log responses in metamorphic rocks near Maribor

open access: yesGeologija, 1995
In the Stražun forest at Pobrežje near Maribor, (Eastern Slovenia) six boreholes have been drilled from 860 to 1600m deep. The paper describes geological conditions in mentioned boreholes, as well as in wider surroundings of Maribor with stress on ...

Autoregressive model with discrete feature representation for well log interpretation

open access: yesApplied Computing and Geosciences
Accurate well log interpretation is essential for subsurface reservoir characterization, as it provides key information on lithology, stratigraphic structures, and fluid distributions.

Log-concavity property for some well-known distributions [PDF]

open access: yesSurveys in Mathematics and its Applications, 2011
Interesting properties and propositions, in many branches of science such as economics have been obtained according to the property of cumulative distribution function of a random variable as a concave function.

Transcriptional profiling of circulating extracellular vesicles from prebiopsy prostate cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
RNA profiling of circulating extracellular vesicles (EVs) from blood samples of men undergoing prostate biopsy identifies transcripts associated with clinically significant prostate cancer. Integrative analysis with public tumor datasets links EV‐derived gene signatures to tumor stage and progression‐free survival, highlighting CASP3, XRCC2, and RIT1 ...
