Ambiguity analysis of well‐log data
GEOPHYSICS, 1994Ambiguity in a geophysical interpretation problem is the possibility of accepting more than one solution caused either by solution nonuniqueness or instability. Nonuniqueness is related to the existence of more than one solution regardless of the precision of observations.

Proceedings of Petroleum Industry Application of Microcomputers, 1987
Abstract Log analysis without the aid of taped or digitized data, and a mini-computer, is a tedious chore. A typical desk top interpretation may consist of manual data extraction from log prints, hand plotting the appropriate crossplots for parameter selection, and then processing the data level by level in a hand held programmable ...

IMPORTANT CONSIDERATIONS IN GEOTHERMAL WELL LOG ANALYSIS
Proceedings of SPE California Regional Meeting, 1977American Institute of Mining, Metallurgical, and Petroleum Engineers, Inc. Abstract The objectives of well logging, logging operation and log analysis in the geothermal industry are considerably different from those in the petroleum industry. This paper discusses these differences.

Reservoir Analysis by Well Log Data
Energy Sources, 2005The aim of this research is to describe and characterize the reservoir sections by well log data. Well logs are used to examine the porosity, water saturation and true resistivity properties of the reservoir. Throughout the project, the data is processed using geostatistical tests that are frequency, histograms, auto-correlation, cross-correlations ...

Well-log Analysis of Shale Gas Reservoirs
2021Well-logs provide continuous information about rocks and their pore fluid properties. Typical well-logs such as gamma-ray, density, neutron, sonic, and resistivity logs have been traditionally used to estimate shale volume, porosity, lithology, and fluid saturation in conventional oil and gas exploration, where shale formations are treated as ...

Wavelet analysis using well log information
SEG Technical Program Expanded Abstracts 1988, 1988An important problem in detailed lithologic studies from seismic data is the estimation of the signal wavelet. A methodology is proposed for estiiation of the wavelet using borehole information. In the processing sequence the wavelet amplitude and phase spectra re gradually investigated.

Well Logging Analysis in Niger Delta Basin
SPE Nigeria Annual International Conference and Exhibition, 2021Abstract A hydrocarbon exploration begins with the geological recognition of probable hydrocarbon accumulation areas, which are confirmed by seismic survey and, to ensure certainty, it is necessary to drill a well. On those exploration wells measurements are made down the hole for the formation evaluation.
