ABSTRACT In tropical rainforest ecosystems, where prey is widely dispersed and difficult to detect, predictable congregation sites offer rare and valuable hunting opportunities. Mineral licks represent such hotspots, attracting a diverse array of herbivores seeking mineral‐ and clay‐rich soils.
