Abstract The Mount Kozak igneous complex is located close to the towns of Ayvalik, Bergama and Burhaniye in the Western Anatolia, Turkey. Magmatic activity occurred during the Late Oligocene–Early Miocene, beginning with the emplacement of the Kozak pluton. Sheet intrusive rocks formed around it coevally.

The use of clinoptilolites of Western Anatolia in detergents as phosphate substitutes was investigated. The cations present in the clinoptilolite samples were first exchanged with sodium ions.
