The Paradox of Kellis (Western Egyptian Desert)

Kellis is a small village in the Dakhlah Oasis in the Western Egyptian desert. From the perspective of spatiality, Kellis seems to epitomise isolation and remoteness, whereas from the perspective of language usage, Kellis seems to exemplify integration and mixture.The article aims to explain this paradox.

Modifying Glucose Metabolism Reverses Memory Defects of Alzheimer's Disease Model at Late Stages

Using spatial transcriptomics, we show that ferul enanthate (SL‐ZF‐01) reverses episodic‐like memory deficits in aged, but not young, Alzheimer’s disease (AD) mice. SL restores glucose metabolism and Glucose Transporter 1/3 expression via an ‘Aging‐AD‐Rescue’ pattern, rescuing deficits seen in aged AD mice.

METTL1‐Mediated M7G tRNA Modification Promotes Residual Liver Regeneration After Hepatectomy via Translational Control

METTL1 and its mediated m7G tRNA modification are significantly up‐regulated after partial hepatectomy (PHx). Overexpression of METTL1 improves the efficiency of liver regeneration after PHx, increases the proliferation of hepatocytes, and accelerates the recovery of liver function.

TRPA1+αCGRP+ sensory neurons in the nodose ganglion detect external insults such as lipopolysaccharide (LPS) and interact directly with pulmonary neuroendocrine cells (PNECs), promoting their activation and proliferation. This neural‐epithelial interaction amplifies lung inflammation.
