Fiber Reinforced Wet-Mix Shotcrete under Impact
Journal of Materials in Civil Engineering, 2000As a result of excavation blasting, traffic, sudden ground movements, rock bursts, and seismic activity, shotcrete is often subjected to impact and other dynamic loads. Limited data exist, however, with regard to the resistance of shotcrete to such dynamic loads.

Rheological Properties of Wet-Mix Shotcrete Mixtures Made with Crushed Aggregate
Journal of Materials in Civil Engineering, 2017AbstractThe recent depletion of high-quality and well-graded natural-aggregate sources is one of the factors compromising the production of good-quality shotcrete.

Retrofitting of Vulnerable Reinforced Concrete Frames with Wet-Mixed Shotcrete Panels
Advances in Structural Engineering, 2012In this paper, wet-mixed shotcrete panels are proposed instead of reinforced concrete (RC) shear walls for the retrofitting of vulnerable RC frames. The general behavior of the retrofitted frames responding in-plane lateral loading is investigated in detail. The experimental work is composed of retrofitting of undamaged and damaged RC frames.

Durability Assessment for Crushed Sand Wet-mix Shotcrete Mixed with Mineral Admixtures
Journal of the Korea Concrete Institute, 2014The purpose of this dissertation was to investigate the effect of mineral admixtures, such as fly ash, blast furnace slag powder, meta kaolin and silica fume, on the basic properties and durability of crushed sand shotcrete, selecting a series of shotcrete mixtures with a variable admixture.

Impact behaviour of fiber reinforced wet-mix shotcrete
2009The use of shotcrete for ground support in mines and tunnels has increased dramatically within the past ten years. It has long been used in the construction of dams, canals, and reservoirs, in the repair and rehabilitation of marine, highway and railway structures, and in rock stabilization work.

Wet-Mix silica Fume Shotcrete: Effect of Silica Fume Form
"SP-132: Fly Ash, Silica Fume, Slag, and Natural Pozzolans and Natural Pozzolans in Concrete - Proceedings Fourth Interna", 1992This study investigated the influence of the different forms of silica fume on the plastic and hardened porperties of wet-mix shotcrete. The silica fume forms studied were: uncompacted silica fume; compacted low density silica fume; compacted high density silica fume.

Cement and Concrete Research, 2005
Fiber reinforced shotcrete (FRS) is commonly used in slope protection, tunnel linings as well as structural repair and rehabilitation. For the design of shotcrete mixes, it is of interest to see if data on fiber reinforced concrete (FRC) can be employed as an initial guideline.

Impact resistance of fiber reinforced wet-mix shotcrete Part 2: plate tests
Materials and Structures, 1999In Part 1 of this paper, data on impact resistance of fiber reinforced wet-mix shotcrete obtained by testing beam specimens was presented. Ten different types of commercially available fibers were investigated. It was argued that since shotcrete in many applications is loaded dynamically, slow-rate static tests are not sufficient for a comprehensive ...
