Flexural Behaviour of Reinforced Shotcrete beams Comprehending Waste Plastic Fiber
Wet-mix shotcrete is often used as a placement method in tunnelling and ground support. However, to date, only a limited number of studies have been identified the roles of waste plastic fiber (WPF) on wet-mix shotcrete mixtures.

Wet-mix shotcrete has lower water content even though looking wet which is generally less than 8% of total content. The inner surface of pipes will absorb water from fresh concrete to wet itself if concrete pump primers is not pumped early; meanwhile ...

Research on Rebound Rate of Nano-Scale Admixture Wet-Mix Shotcrete
Abstract High rebound rate and low construction efficiency are outstanding problems for traditional shotcrete. To solve these problems, Nano-scale admixture (NSA) was used to prepare high performance wet-mix shotcrete. Tests of sidewall rebound rate and overall rebound rate were carried out to study the effect of NSA.

Abstract The use of fiber reinforced concrete (FRC) in precast tunnel segments is among the most established and representative applications of this material. Over the past two decades, numerous tunnel linings were constructed with partial or total substitution of conventional steel reinforcement by fibers, this yielding to quantifiable benefits in ...

Mine‐water immersion tests reveal pronounced coal weakening (vs. minor concrete degradation), identifying coal pillars as the stability‐limiting component in composite dams. A coupled FEINN framework quantifies extreme‐pressure stability and ranks multi‐parameter designs via a normalized multi‐indicator scheme, enabling optimized dam configuration for ...

The air content and void structure of hardened shotcrete is essential for its durability and resistance against freeze thaw damage. However, producing a mix which is pumpable, shootable, and also meets durability requirements is not always easy.

Ettringite Seeds for Strength Enhancement: Novel Synthesis via One‐Step Co‐Precipitation
ABSTRACT Reduced early strength can be a barrier to the adoption of cements blended with high levels of limestone. Chemical admixtures based on nucleation seeding are emerging as a potential solution. Herein, while synthesis of C‐S‐H‐based seeds has been thoroughly investigated in the literature, there are limited synthesis protocols available on other
