Basic elements for photodeposited high Tc thin film devices [PDF]

open access: yes, 1992
Flat films, high quality insulating layers and adequately superconducting via contacts are basic elements for high Tc device fabrication. We studied the influence of the process parameters of laser deposition on the occurrence of droplets and outgrowths ...

Long-term atmospheric inorganic nitrogen deposition in West African savanna over 16 year period (Lamto, Côte d’Ivoire)

open access: yesEnvironmental Research Letters, 2020
We present a long term assessment trend of atmospheric inorganic nitrogen deposition in Sub Saharan Africa (2000–2015) using observational and model data.

New Insights Into Multi‐Component Atmospheric Wet Deposition Across China: A Multidimensional Analysis

open access: yesEarth's Future, 2022
Atmospheric wet deposition has attracted much attention because of its removal function of aerosol particles and impact on ecosystem. It is a complex multi‐component process due to various pollutants emission sources and reaction processes.

Perchlorate in Wet Deposition Across North America

open access: yesEnvironmental Science & Technology, 2008
Natural perchlorate is believed to be of atmospheric origin, yet no systematic study has been conducted to evaluate perchlorate deposition rate and possible seasonal or spatial variations. This study evaluated perchlorate concentrations in weekly composite wet deposition samples acquired through the National Atmospheric Deposition Program from 26 sites

European and Mediterranean mercury modelling: local and long-range contributions to the deposition flux [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Mercury (Hg) is a global pollutant that is known to have adverse effects on human health, and most human exposure to toxic methylmercury is through fish consumption. Soluble Hg compounds in the marine environment can be methylated in the water column and

Mycobacterial cell division arrest and smooth‐to‐rough envelope transition using CRISPRi‐mediated genetic repression systems

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
CRISPRI‐mediated gene silencing and phenotypic exploration in nontuberculous mycobacteria. In this Research Protocol, we describe approaches to control, monitor, and quantitatively assess CRISPRI‐mediated gene silencing in M. smegmatis and M. abscessus model organisms.

Enhancing Corrosion Resistance and Mechanical Strength of 3D‐Printed Iron Polylactic Acid for Marine Applications via Laser Surface Texturing

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Laser surface texturing significantly improves the corrosion resistance and mechanical strength of 3D‐printed iron polylactic acid (Ir‐PLA) for marine applications. Optimal laser parameters reduce corrosion by 80% and enhance tensile strength by 25% and ductility by 15%.

Nitrogen compounds emission and deposition in West African ecosystems: comparison between wet and dry savanna [PDF]

open access: yesBiogeosciences, 2012
Surface emission and deposition fluxes of reactive nitrogen compounds have been studied in five sites of West Africa during the period 2002 to 2007. Measurements of N deposition fluxes have been performed in IDAF sites representative of main west and ...
