A multi-resolution assessment of the Community Multiscale Air Quality (CMAQ) model v4.7 wet deposition estimates for 2002–2006 [PDF]
This paper examines the operational performance of the Community Multiscale Air Quality (CMAQ) model simulations for 2002–2006 using both 36-km and 12-km horizontal grid spacing, with a primary focus on the performance of the CMAQ model in predicting wet

Atmospheric input of nitrogen and phosphorus to the Southeast Mediterranean: Sources, fluxes, and possible impact [PDF]
Estimates of the sources and wet deposition fluxes of inorganic nutrients (PO43-, NO3-, NO2-, NH4+) have been made using a long-term wet atmospheric deposition measurement at three sites along the Mediterranean coast of Israel.

The formation of nonmetallic inclusions (NMIs) was investigated in this study, carrying out immersion tests for 30 min at a temperature of 1600°C with liquid high‐silicon electrical steel (Si ≈ 3 mass‐%) and different MgO–C refractories. Conventional MgO–C refractories were considered, as well as MgO–C refractories containing MgO–C recyclate and ...

Novel ferrocene derivatives (e.g., FcPhc2) are used as an ultrathin layer hole‐blocking layer, reducing hole injection from the Ag contact. This results in an ultralow noise spectral density of 1.2 × 10−14 A Hz−1/2, and a high specific detectivity of 8.1 × 1012 Jones at −0.5 V.

Doping graphene via organic solid-solid wetting deposition [PDF]
Organic Solid-Solid Wetting Deposition (OSWD) enables the fabrication of supramolecular architectures without the need for solubility or vacuum conditions. The technique is based on a process which directly generates two-dimensional monolayers from three-dimensional solid organic powders.

Complex Pt/Al2O3 materials for small catalytic systems [PDF]
This paper reports on the preparation of catalytic materials composed of a porous metallic preform containing winding microchannels whose surface is coated by a complex catalytic film. Al2O3 is deposited inside the pores by means of wet impregnation in a

This study presents novel anti‐counterfeiting tags with multilevel security features that utilize additional disguise features. They combine luminescent nanosized Ln‐MOFs with conductive polymers to multifunctional mixed‐matrix membranes and powder composites. The materials exhibit visible/NIR emission and matrix‐based conductivity even as black bodies.

Coating the standard polypropylene separator with a porous red phosphorous nanosheet greatly improves cycling performance in Li electrode cells. The phosphorus‐based surface chemistry deactivates electrolyte solvent decomposition and enhances the cleavage of F‐containing salt, resulting in an inorganic‐dominated electrolyte interphase (SEI) composition
