A Study on Strength of Wet Gypsum

open access: yesJournal of the Ceramic Association, Japan, 1951
While studying the relationship between strength of wet gypsum and its apparent specific gravity. I tried to set forth the relationship in mathematical formulae, such as I obtained before for dry gypsum. The formulae are as follow:log σx2/σx02=n2log ρ1/ρ0 or log σx2=n2 log ρ1+log σx02/ρ0n2when σx2 and ρ1: compressive strength of wet gypsum and apparent ...

Unraveling MXene Oxidation Mechanisms Under Realistic Gas Environments by In Situ Gas‐Cell TEM

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Real‐time visualization of MXene degradation reveals a fundamental oxidation mechanism under oxygen and moisture environments. Using in situ gas‐cell electron microscopy, this study demonstrates that oxygen degradation drives a thermodynamically controlled high‐temperature transformation into mixed rutile/anatase phases.

Steam as a challenging binder for pharmaceutical wet granulation

open access: yes, 2022
reservedGranulation is a process of particle size enlargement during which powder particles agglomerate through agitation or compression mechanisms. Today, granulation technology is used by a wide range of industries, including chemical, pharmaceutical ...

Magnetic‐Field Control of Surface States in CoFe2O4 Thin Films for Nitrate Electroreduction to Ammonia

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Magnetic‐field‐assisted CVD of heterometallic single‐source precursors modulates thin‐film surface electronic structure and interfacial charge transfer. Field‐grown (Cobalt ferrite‐1T)CF‐1T films exhibit stabilized electronic states, lower kinetic barriers, and markedly enhanced nitrate‐to‐ammonia electrocatalysis versus (Cobalt ferrite‐0T) CF‐0T ...

Water Absorption and Wet Strength in Hot-pressed Paper

open access: yes, 2022
Effects of hot-pressing on anisotropic sheets with less good formation was here investigated. The main objective was to study water absorption capacity in relation to the wet strength of hot-pressed paper. A pilot paper machine was used to produce papers
