Artifact‐Minimizing Ultrathin Transparent Electrodes Fabricated via iCVD for In Vivo Optogenetic Stimulation and Neural Signal Monitoring of Primary Visual Cortex

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We present ultrathin flexible transparent electrodes through iCVD‐enabled molecular control of 10 nm gold films on poly(dimethylaminomethylstyrene). In vivo validation demonstrated photoelectric artifact reduction vs. opaque electrodes and preservation of natural neural dynamics.

Enantiospecific Wetting

Journal of the American Chemical Society, 2010
Experiments have shown that enantiospecificity can be important in wetting. Measurements of droplet contact angles can be used to estimate the energy of enantiomeric discrimination.

Knife Wetting Device: Wet Celloidin Technique

Archives of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, 1968
IN preparing histological sections using the wet celloidin technique the knife of the sliding microtone, the block being cut, and the sections cut from it must be kept wet with 80% alcohol. The block is kept wet with a steady drip from a dropping bottle.
