Journal of Animal Ecology, Volume 95, Issue 11, Page 2306-2321, November 2026.Our study demonstrates that the benefits of parental coordination in albatrosses are context‐dependent rather than universal. Coordinated parental care enhanced reproductive success in stable environments, but had little effect in variable environments, where individual flexibility may be more valuable.
