UTact: Underwater Vision‐Based Tactile Sensor with Geometry Reconstruction and Contact Force Estimation

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Embedded flexible sensing technologies advance underwater soft robotics, yet most systems still suffer from hysteresis and limited perceptiveness. Instead, vision‐based tactile sensors provide reliable and rapid feedback essential for complex underwater tasks.

The superiority effect in Albanian multiple wh-movement structures

open access: yes, 2020
This study examines the order of wh-phrases in Albanian multiple wh-questions. Despite SVO and OVS orders, I argue that Albanian wh-movement displays the superiority effect, through a mechanism generating a rightmost highest specifier.

A Superlubricated Magnetically Steerable Microcatheter with Integrated Optical and Fluidic Channels

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
A magnetically steerable microcatheter with integrated optical and fluidic channels is developed for multifunctional navigation in tortuous anatomical environments. A surface‐grafted hydrogel coating enables low‐friction actuation. The device demonstrates stable light and fluid delivery during magnetic manipulation, offering a compact platform for ...

Textile Actuation Based on In‐Air Actuating Polypyrrole‐Based Tape Yarns for Wearable Soft Robotics: Toward On‐Body Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This work reports on the actuation behavior of CP‐based polypyrrole/PVdF TYs soaked in electrolyte/ionic liquids and woven actuators where such TYs are integrated. These studies are important toward the creation of on‐body applications such as wearable soft robotics, where textiles offer many advantages such as increased force, integrated electrical ...

Scope assignment: From wh- to QR

open access: yesGlossa, 2017
This paper develops a theory of scope assignment to wh-phrases as resulting of a process of selective spell-out of copies created from Internal Merge. We show that so-called LF-movement is not a viable option in the current theory of grammar.

Intelligent Sky Guardians (InSkyGuard): An Aerial Robotic Swarm for Autonomous Detection and Entrapment of Rogue Multirotors

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Intelligent Sky Guardians (InSkyGuard) is introduced as a four‐drone swarm that autonomously detects, tracks, and safely captures rogue drones using a coordinated net system. Computer vision and leader–follower control architecture enable synchronized enclosure, while integrated failsafes enhance system reliability. Validated through closed‐environment

Acquisition of wh-movement in German

open access: yes, 2004
Acquisition of wh-movement has been extensively examined in English, French, Chinese, and other languages (de Villers, Roeper, and Vainikka 1990, Guasti 2000, Hamann 2000, Lee 1992).

Covert movement in English probing wh-questions

open access: yes, 2020
Besides fronted information-seeking questions, English also allows for two types of wh-in-situ ones: echo questions, which are used to request a repetition or a clarification of a previous utterance, and probing questions, which are often used in quiz ...
