ABSTRACT Current prostate cancer detection methods remain limited in non‐invasiveness and specificity, prompting interest in urinary biomarkers such as sarcosine. Here, we report a urine‐powered wearable platform for non‐invasive sarcosine detection as a proof‐of‐concept for decentralized early warning.

Scrambling in German and Japanese: adjunction versus multiple specifiers
This paper argues that short (clause-internal) scrambling to a pre-subject position has A properties in Japanese but A'-properties in German, while long scrambling (scrambling across sentence boundaries) from finite clauses, which is possible in Japanese

Water availability, demand and reliability of in situ water harvesting in smallholder rain-fed agriculture in the Thukela River Basin, South Africa [PDF]
Water productivity in smallholder rain-fed agriculture is of key interest for improved food and livelihood security. A frequently advocated approach to enhance water productivity is to adopt water harvesting and conservation technologies (WH). This study

Hydrophobicity Modulated Interfacial Water Distribution for Enhanced Kinetics of HER
In electrocatalysis, hydrophilic structures improve interfacial water management by forming a continuous, compact water film that facilitates proton/hydrogen transport, thereby lowering the effective adsorption free energy of H*. By contrast, hydrophobic structures enable rapid gas transport and promote the capture and local enrichment of gaseous ...
