Hydrodynamic Impeller Stiffness, Damping, and Inertia in the Rotordynamics of Centrifugal Flow Pumps [PDF]
Measurements were made of the lateral hydrodynamic forces experienced by a centrifugal pump impeller performing circular whirl motions within several volute geometries.

This study explores salivary RNA for breast cancer (BC) diagnosis, prognosis, and follow‐up. High‐throughput RNA sequencing identified distinct salivary RNA signatures, including novel transcripts, that differentiate BC from healthy controls, characterize histological and molecular subtypes, and indicate lymph node involvement.

Flow-Excited Turbine Rotor Instability
The problem of steam whirl is one of the technological limits that now prohibit the development of power-generating turbomachinery substantially above GW. Due to steam flow, self-excited vibrations develop at high loads in the form of stable limit cycles

Analysis of Aerodynamically Induced Whirling Forces in Axial Flow Compressors [PDF]
A new analytical model to predict the aerodynamic forces in axial flow compressors due to asymmetric tip-clearance is introduced. The model captures the effects of tip-clearance induced distortion (i.e. forced shaft whirl), unsteady momentum-induced tangential blade forces and pressure induced forces on the spool.

Modeling hepatic fibrosis in TP53 knockout iPSC‐derived human liver organoids
This study developed iPSC‐derived human liver organoids with TP53 gene knockout to model human liver fibrosis. These organoids showed elevated myofibroblast activation, early disease markers, and advanced fibrotic hallmarks. The use of profibrotic differentiation medium further amplified the fibrotic signature seen in the organoids.

Experimental Study of Spatiotemporal Variations in Lab-Scale Fire Whirls
This study focused on the unsteady behavior of fire whirls. A laboratory-scale fire whirl was generated, and temporal variations in flame height were measured from images taken by a high-speed camera and subjected to frequency analysis.

Measurements for the rotordynamic shroud forces for centrifugal pumps [PDF]
An experiment was designed to measure the rotordynamic shroud forces on a centrigual pump impeller. The measurements were doen for various whirl/impeller ratios and for different flow rates.

The Rotordynamic Forces on a Centrifugal Pump Impeller in the Presence of Cavitation [PDF]
An experiment in forced vabration was conducted to study the fluid-induced rotordynamic force on an impeller whirling along a trajectory eccentric to its undeflected position in the presence of cavitation. The prescribed whirl trajectory of the rotor is

A synthetic benzoxazine dimer derivative targets c‐Myc to inhibit colorectal cancer progression
Benzoxazine dimer derivatives bind to the bHLH‐LZ region of c‐Myc, disrupting c‐Myc/MAX complexes, which are evaluated from SAR analysis. This increases ubiquitination and reduces cellular c‐Myc. Impairing DNA repair mechanisms is shown through proteomic analysis.
