Silicon‐Integrated Perovskite Photonic Laser Based on Bound States in Continuum

A strategy to integrate perovskite coherent light sources onto commercial silicon platform is proposed. Based on the bound states in the continuum, the energy leakage from perovskite microdisk to silicon is totally removed, leading to the observation of perovskite lasers on silicon with a laser quality factor ∼4850.

Neodymium Photoluminescence in Whispering Gallery Modes of Toroidal Microcavities [PDF]

We report on light emission from high-Q neodymium-implanted silica microtoroids. Following the description of the fabrication process of microtoroids, neodymium light emission is analysed. This emission is coupled to various cavity modes. Using evanescent wave coupling we achieve selective detection of Whispering Gallery Modes of a microtoroid.
