Influence of Test Temperature and Test Frequency on Fatigue Life of Aluminum Alloy EN AW‐2618A
The influence of test temperature and test frequency on the fatigue life of EN AW‐2618A is investigated. High‐cycle fatigue tests are performed at different test temperatures and frequencies on the 1000 h/230°C overaged state. Both test parameters reduce fatigue life due to time‐dependent damage mechanisms.

Recent progress in the device architecture of white quantum-dot light-emitting diodes
White-light-emission quantum dot light-emitting diodes (WQLEDs) have attracted great attention of late because they could have potential applications in both flat-panel displays and solid-state lighting due to their advantages of tunable emission spectra,

The Small Magellanic Cloud (SMC) hosts a large number of Be/X-ray binaries, however no Be/white dwarf system is known so far, although population synthesis calculations predict that they might be more frequent than Be/neutron star systems.

Do not let thermal drift and instrument artifacts deceive high‐temperature nanoindentation results. We compare classical Oliver–Pharr and automatic image recognition analyses across steels and a Ni alloy to quantify these effects. Accounting for artifacts reveals systematic softening with temperature, while Cr and Ni additions boost resistance ...

White-light emission from GaAs m.o.s. structures
Emission of light from GaAs m.o.s. structures with anodic native oxides is reported. The spectrum is continuous, covers the visible range and has substantial parts that have higher photon energies than the GaAs energy gap. A part of the emission therefore seems to originate from the amorphous native GaAs oxide with its wide energy gap of about 4.5 eV ...
