Using 3.4 μm Variability toward White Dwarfs as a Signpost of Remnant Planetary Systems
Roughly 2% of white dwarfs harbor planetary debris disks detectable via infrared excesses, but only a few percent of these disks show a gaseous component, distinguished by their double-peaked emission at the near-infrared calcium triplet.

Hydrovoltaic Energy Harvesting From Nut Shells
Schematic diagram illustrating the process of an NS‐based WEG. The flow diagram illustrates the preparations, porous hierarchical structure, water‐surface interactions, water transportation through channels and generating streaming potential. The center left demonstrates voltage/current generation through evaporation in graphite‐NS‐graphite sandwich ...

ABSTRACT Background Endoscopy is essential in upper aerodigestive tract (UADT) examination, particularly in the early detection of laryngopharyngeal lesions. However, UADT endoscopy remains operator‐dependent and lacks standardized quality metrics. Recent advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) have generated interest in applications within UADT ...

A Test of Spectroscopic Age Estimates of White Dwarfs Using Wide WD+WD Binaries
White dwarf stars have been used for decades as precise and accurate age indicators. This work presents a test of the reliability of white dwarf total ages when spectroscopic observations are available. We conduct follow-up spectroscopy of 148 individual

Evidence for very nearby hidden white dwarfs
We report the discovery of a tertiary component to the prominent and nearby (d = 14 pc) visual binary alpha Fornacis. The new invisible component is part of a 4-d short-period Ba-Bb subsystem, whose K-type alpha For Ba primary shows a striking [Ba/Fe] = +
