Renormalization Group Method for a Stochastic Differential Equation with Multiplicative Fractional White Noise

open access: yesMathematics
In this paper, we present an application of the renormalization group method developed by Chen, Goldenfeld and Oono for a stochastic differential equation in a space of Hilbert space-valued generalized random variables with multiplicative noise.

Noise Analysis and Modeling in Visible Light Communication Using Allan Variance

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
Visible Light Communication (VLC) is a rising communication technology which uses Light-Emitting Diode (LED) luminaries for high-speed data transferring; however, the optical signal is usually degraded by the noise in the practical VLC system.

Efficient and robust detection of multipartite Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger-like states

open access: yes, 2019
Entanglement is a key resource for quantum information processing. A widely used tool for detecting entanglement is entanglement witness, where the measurement of the witness operator is guaranteed to be positive for all separable states and can be ...

Analysing the significance of small conformational changes and low occupancy states in serial crystallographic data

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.

Network Localization of Fatigue in Multiple Sclerosis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Fatigue is among the most common symptoms and one of the main factors determining the quality of life in multiple sclerosis (MS). However, the neurobiological mechanisms underlying fatigue are not fully understood. Here we studied lesion locations and their connections in individuals with MS, aiming to identify brain networks ...

Real‐World Investigation of Satralizumab in Patients With Neuromyelitis Optica Spectrum Disease

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Satralizumab, a monoclonal antibody targeting the interleukin‐6 receptor, has demonstrated efficacy in clinical trials for neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD). However, its real‐world effectiveness and safety compared to conventional immunosuppressive therapies remain uncertain.

Assessment of noise in time series analysis for Buoy tide observations

open access: yesInternational Journal of Maritime Technology, 2020
To extract valid results from time series analysis of tides observations, noise reduction is vital. This study aimed to use a precise statistical model to investigate noise types.

Optimal Estimation of Several Linear Parameters in the Presence of Lorentzian Thermal Noise

open access: yes, 2009
In a previous article we developed an approach to the optimal (minimum variance, unbiased) statistical estimation technique for the equilibrium displacement of a damped, harmonic oscillator in the presence of thermal noise.

Association of Corticospinal Tract Asymmetry With Ambulatory Ability After Intracerebral Hemorrhage

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Ambulatory ability after intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) is important to patients. We tested whether asymmetry between ipsi‐ and contra‐lesional corticospinal tracts (CSTs) assessed by diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) is associated with post‐ICH ambulation.

Optimal insider control and semimartingale decompositions under enlargement of filtration

open access: yes, 2016
We combine stochastic control methods, white noise analysis and Hida-Malliavin calculus applied to the Donsker delta functional to obtain new representations of semimartingale decompositions under enlargement of filtrations.
