Generalizations of Fox Homotopy Groups, Whitehead Products, and Gottlieb Groups [PDF]

open access: yesUkrainian Mathematical Journal, 2005
In this paper, we redefine the Fox torus homotopy groups and give a proof of the split exact sequence of these groups. Evaluation subgroups are defined and are related to the classical Gottlieb subgroups. With our constructions, we recover the Abe groups and prove some results of Gottlieb for the evaluation subgroups of Fox homotopy groups.

On generalized Whitehead products [PDF]

open access: yesTransactions of the American Mathematical Society, 2011
A symmetric monoidal pairing is defined among simply connected co-H spaces and this is used to generalize the Whitehead product map S(X ^ Y) --> SX v SY to co-H spaces.

Entanglements and Whitehead products: generalizing Kleman's construction to higher-dimensional defects [PDF]

open access: yesLiquid Crystals Reviews, 2022
We review the interpretation of Whitehead products in homotopy theory as an entanglement of topological defects in ordered media.

Central H-spaces and banded types [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Pure and Applied Algebra, 2023
We introduce and study central types, which are generalizations of Eilenberg-Mac Lane spaces. A type is central when it is equivalent to the component of the identity among its own self-equivalences.

Measurement of τ polarization in W→τν decays with the ATLAS detector in pp collisions at \documentclass[12pt]{minimal} \usepackage{amsmath} \usepackage{wasysym} \usepackage{amsfonts} \usepackage{amssymb} \usepackage{amsbsy} \usepackage{mathrsfs} \usepackage{upgreek} \setlength{\oddsidemargin}{-69pt} [PDF]

open access: yesThe European Physical Journal C, 2012
In this paper, a measurement of τ polarization in W→τν decays is presented. It is measured from the energies of the decay products in hadronic τ decays with a single final state charged particle.

n-ary algebras: a review with applications [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
This paper reviews the properties and applications of certain n-ary generalizations of Lie algebras in a self-contained and unified way. These generalizations are algebraic structures in which the two-entry Lie bracket has been replaced by a bracket with

Search for a W′ boson decaying to a vector-like quark and a top or bottom quark in the all-jets final state at s\documentclass[12pt]{minimal} \usepackage{amsmath} \usepackage{wasysym} \usepackage{amsfonts} \usepackage{amssymb} \usepackage{amsbsy} \usepackage{mathrsfs} \usepackage{upgreek} \setlength [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2022
A search is presented for a heavy W′ boson resonance decaying to a B or T vector-like quark and a t or a b quark, respectively. The analysis is performed using proton-proton collisions collected with the CMS detector at the LHC. The data correspond to an

Lie coalgebras and rational homotopy theory II: Hopf invariants [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
We give a new, definitive resolution of the homotopy periods problem modulo torsion. This problem was addressed most famously by Sullivan, on the first page and then Section 11 of his seminal paper [24].

K-theoretic duality for hyperbolic dynamical systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The K-theoretic analog of Spanier-Whitehead duality for noncommutative C - algebras is shown to hold for the Ruelle algebras associated to irreducible Smale spaces. This had previously been proved only for shifts of finite type.

A formula for non-equioriented quiver orbits of type a [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
We prove a positive combinatorial formula for the equivariant class of an orbit closure in the space of representations of an arbitrary quiver of type A.
