An Embodied Paper‐Based Microfluidic Al‐Air Battery for Enduring Untethered Insect‐Scale Robots

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 45, 13 August 2026.
This work presents a centimeter‐scale microfluidic aluminum–air battery (MFAAB) with dual‐surface anode and F−‐mediated byproduct decomposition. The design enables a high capacity of 2697.05 mAh/g Al and delivers tens of milliwatts to power LEDs, motors, and a toy car.

Phylogenomic insights into the genus Tulipa (Liliaceae): Taxonomy, evolution, and biogeography

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Botany, Volume 113, Issue 8, August 2026.
Abstract Premise Tulips are one of the best‐known geophytes, but their taxonomy remains convoluted and their evolutionary history poorly understood. Here, we used plastid genomes to identify some issues with current classification, understand the diversification history of the genus, and identify potential species linked to historical cultivation ...

Real‐World Validation of the Clinical Distinctiveness of IDH‐Mutant Glioblastoma in the SEER Transition Era: A Population‐Based Study Integrating Machine Learning

open access: yesBrain and Behavior, Volume 16, Issue 8, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Introduction The 2021 WHO classification reclassified “IDH‐mutant glioblastoma (GBM)” as “Astrocytoma, IDH‐mutant, grade 4.” This study aims to provide real‐world validation of this reclassification using the specific ICD‐O‐3 code (9445/3) from the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) “Transition Era” (2018–2022) and develop a ...

Spatially resolved 23Na magnetic resonance dispersion measurement in porous media

open access: yesThe Canadian Journal of Chemical Engineering, Volume 104, Issue 8, Page 4135-4150, August 2026.
Quantitative 23Na MRI was employed to analyze dispersion in realistic core plug samples and was compared with the conventional breakthrough curve. 23Na MRI provided a more effective aassessment of core plug heterogeneity than the conventional method. Abstract Tracer tests are widely used in the petroleum industry to assess reservoir core plugs, relying
