Cap‐oPMN: Oral Inflammatory Load Quantification Using Capillary Microfluidics and Automated Image Processing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Quantifying oral polymorphonuclear neutrophils (oPMNs) is a clinically validated approach for assessing periodontal inflammation. However, current methods, such as manual hemocytometry and flow cytometry, are time‐consuming (>3 h), require invasive sampling, and depend on staining and complex instrumentation, making them unsuitable for point ...

Vapor Chamber Utilization for Rapid Cooling in the Conventional Plastic Injection Molding Process

open access: yesInternational Journal of Technology, 2017
Injection molding is the most common process for producing plastic products. The surface quality and the cycle time of the plastic product is strongly influenced by the cooling system, which accounts for approximately 70% of cycle time.

Absence of submultiplicative norms for Wick-ordered operator products

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Physics, 2023
In this paper, a key problem in the rigorous formulation of the renormalization group as a continuous flow is identified. Some essential features of the operator-theoretic renormalization group of Bach, Chen, Fröhlich, and Sigal are recalled, and a family of norms associated with different Banach spaces of Hamiltonians is introduced.

A HÖLDER–YOUNG–LIEB INEQUALITY FOR NORMS OF GAUSSIAN WICK PRODUCTS [PDF]

open access: yesInfinite Dimensional Analysis, Quantum Probability and Related Topics, 2011
An important connection between the finite-dimensional Gaussian Wick products and Lebesgue convolution products will be proven first. Then this connection will be used to prove an important Hölder inequality for the norms of Gaussian Wick products, reprove Nelson hypercontractivity inequality, and prove a more general inequality whose marginal cases ...

A Perspective on Interactive Theorem Provers in Physics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Into an interactive theorem provers (ITPs), one can write mathematical definitions, theorems and proofs, and the correctness of those results is automatically checked. This perspective goes over the best usage of ITPs within physics and motivates the open‐source community run project PhysLean, the aim of which is to be a library for digitalized physics

Thermally Induced Creep and Viscoelastic Behavior of Copper Micropillar Arrays

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Copper micropillar arrays are fabricated by electrodeposition within through‐glass‐via, and their thermally induced time‐dependent deformation is quantified. Nanoindentation creep, EBSD, and TEM reveal a heat‐treatment‐driven transition between grain‐boundary‐mediated deformation and dislocation‐dominated creep, while Kelvin modeling captures ...

Deformation Driven Suction Cups: A Mechanics‐Based Approach to Wearable Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Deformation‐driven suction cups enable robust, reversible adhesion of wearable electronics to human skin spanning wide mechanical compliance, without adhesives or tight straps. By integrating mechanics modeling, experiments, and contact mechanics theory, this work reveals how cup geometry, substrate compliance, and interfacial adhesion govern suction ...

Adaptedness of Wick Product on Guichardet-Fock Space

open access: yes, 2023
Abstract In this paper, we construct creation and annihilation operators on Guichardet-Fock spaces F and obtain a commuation relations and s−adapted characters about two operators. It is also shown that a Wick-type product can be defined on F and moreover ε (S) ∈ F forms a commutative algebra with the product.

Peroxidase‐Mimicking Nanozymes for Rapid Detection of Infectious Diseases

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Peroxidase‐mimicking nanozymes (PMNs) have emerged as robust and versatile materials for rapid infectious disease diagnostics. This review highlights the rational design and controlled synthesis of PMNs, summarizes key biomarkers relevant to infectious diseases, examines their integration into diverse rapid detection platforms, and highlights ...
