A new wideband rectangular patch antenna

1998 IEEE-APS Conference on Antennas and Propagation for Wireless Communications (Cat. No.98EX184), 2002
A novel design for increasing the bandwidth of a rectangular patch antenna is introduced and implemented. The design concept involves terminating a suitable point of the patch with an appropriately designed stub. This stub simultaneously acts as a short circuit and impedance thereby creating two close resonances. This new design is very useful since it

Wideband Patch Antenna for HPM Applications

IEEE Transactions on Plasma Science, 2011
This paper presents the design, fabrication, and characterization of a compact wideband antenna for high-power microwave applications. The antennas proposed are array of high-power wideband patches with high compactness and less than λ/10 thick. The concept developed can be fed by high-voltage signals (up to 60 kV) in repetitive operation.

A Wideband Slot Coupled Patch Antenna

2020 IEEE MTT-S International Wireless Symposium (IWS), 2020
The design and investigation of a novel slot coupled patch antenna with a wide bandwidth have been presented in this paper. The antenna structure consists of three layers with the square radiating patch on the top, the grounded patch with three embedded slots in the middle and the L-shaped feed at the bottom.

Wideband L-probe patch antenna

2018
The two related feeding techniques, namely, the L-shaped probe and meandering probe (M-probe), for broadening the bandwidth of patch antenna are reviewed. The L-probe has a simple structure and wide bandwidth whereas the M-probe has low cross polarization and a symmetric radiation pattern within the operating frequencies.

Design of Wideband Microstrip Patch Antenna

2009 2nd International Conference on Computer Science and its Applications, 2009
In this paper, a wideband microstrip patch antenna fed by L-strip structure for the K-PCS (Korea PCS, 1750-1850 MHz) and W-CDMA (1920-2170 MHz) broad-band is presented. A two-element array fed by L-strip structure is also proposed. Both the antennas have stable radiation patterns across the passband.

Wideband Dielectric Patch Antenna With Stable Radiation Pattern

IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters, 2023
A dielectric patch antenna (DPA) with a wide impedance bandwidth and a stable radiation pattern is investigated. By making use of the fact that the E-field distributions of different modes of the DPA are distinctive, multiple air regions are elaborately introduced into the DPA. They can manipulate the resonant frequencies of different modes.

Wideband switched beam patch antenna array

2013 IEEE Applied Electromagnetics Conference (AEMC), 2013
In this paper a switched beam 4×1 linear antenna array is presented with a 4×4 butler matrix feed. For wideband operation aperture coupled antenna elements are used in the array whereas wideband hybrid couplers and cross couplers are used in the butler matrix feed.

Wideband Circularly Polarized Vertical Patch Antenna

IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2008
A compact circularly polarized (CP) vertical patch antenna is presented that employs a microstrip to slot-line transition for a wideband operation. The antenna is composed of two vertical patches, which are shaped as helix to obtain a broadband CP performance.

A wideband monopolar plate-patch antenna

IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium. 2001 Digest. Held in conjunction with: USNC/URSI National Radio Science Meeting (Cat. No.01CH37229), 2002
A novel wideband monopolar plate-patch antenna has been proposed and successfully implemented. The impedance bandwidth of the proposed antenna can be greatly enhanced when the two ground plates are placed at the edges of the loading square patch of the planar monopole and proper widths of W/sub 1/ and W/sub 2/ are chosen.
