A Wideband Patch Antenna for 5G
2020 IEEE International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation and North American Radio Science Meeting, 2020Wide bandwidth requirement is one of the main challenging issues in 5G antenna technology. To satisfy this, a stacked low-profile patch antenna is proposed. The design has been optimized via an optimization tool based on Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) integrated with the finite integration technique (FIT).

U-Slot Patch Wideband Microstrip Antenna
1997Bandwidth broadening techniques for microstrip antennas have been studied for a number of years. A popular method is the use of parasitic elements, either in stacked geometry1 or in coplanar geometry2. The stacked geometry involves more than one patch and more than one dielectric layer, with the result that the antenna thickness is increased.

Spanner shaped ultra wideband patch antenna
2014 Students Conference on Engineering and Systems, 2014In recent years Cognitive radio and UWB technologies are emerging for efficient use of Spectrum for short range wireless communications. FCC also has released a wideband of 7.5 GHz (From 3.1GHz to 10.6GHz) as unlicensed to use it anytime anywhere. In cognitive radio for sensing purpose and in UWB transceiver, UWB antennas play a vital role.

Multiband and Wideband Patch Antennas
2004This Chapter reviews recent advances in designs of multiband and wideband patch antennas. Many promising patch antenna designs for dual band operations of orthogonal and same polarizations are described. Designs for dual band, dual polarized and circularly polarized operations are also presented.

A wideband injection matched patch antenna
Antennas and Propagation Conference 2019 (APC-2019), 2019In this paper, a wideband injection matched patch antenna is proposed for the wireless applications in the S and lower C bands using the injection matching theory. In this arrangement, the relative amplitude and phase shift between the excitation current signals at the two ports of a two-port antenna are used to match the antenna to a 50 Ohm source.

Folded arrowhead-shaped wideband patch antenna
2010 International Conference on Microwave and Millimeter Wave Technology, 2010In this letter, a patch antenna with folded arrowhead-shaped structure is proposed to extend impedance bandwidth, decrease size and enhance gain. The antenna is optimized, fabricated and measured.

A wideband dual-polarized patch antenna
Proceedings of 2014 3rd Asia-Pacific Conference on Antennas and Propagation, 2014A broadband microstrip patch antenna with dual-polarization is presented in the paper. There are four feed-lines and a cavity-backed ground plane in the antenna. The patch is electromagnetically coupled by these feed-lines. The phase offset of the two feeding ports located symmetrically relative to the center of the patch is 180°, which affords a ...

Vertex-fed hexagram patch wideband antenna
2014 International Conference on Signal Propagation and Computer Technology (ICSPCT 2014), 2014Design and analysis of a vertex-feed arrangement of hexagram patch is proposed. The hexagram patch is designed over a glass epoxy FR-4 substrate with an overall thickness of 1.57 mm. The hexagram is a polygon with six vertices and one of the vertices is directly fed with microwave energy using an SMA connector.

An ultra wideband “cobra” patch antenna
IEE Proceedings - Microwaves, Antennas and Propagation, 2004An ultra wideband patch antenna is presented in which the moment method is used to analyse and optimise a patch antenna, the final optimised patch antenna looking like a cobra snake. It is therefore referred to as ‘cobra patch antenna’. The antenna has an ultra wideband VSWR performance and relatively good gain, no input balun, and is easy and cheap to

S-Shaped Metamaterial Ultra-Wideband Directive Patch Antenna
Radioelectronics and Communications Systems, 2018Antenna parameter optimization using S-shaped metamaterial embedded in antenna substrate is elucidated in this paper. Upon incorporation of proposed metamaterial array inside the antenna substrate, the bandwidth of antenna increases by 74% and directivity by about 11%.
