Wideband SIW Half-Mode/Quarter-Mode-Fed Microstrip Patch Complementary Antennas With Back Radiation Suppression

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2021
Complementary sources concept and half-mode/quarter-mode substrate integrated waveguide (HMSIW/QMSIW) technology are introduced in this paper to improve the back-radiation suppression and bandwidth of microstrip patch antennas (MPAs). The HMSIW cavity as

Modulating Two‐Photon Absorption in a Pyrene‐Based MOF Series: An In‐Depth Investigation of Structure–Property Relationships

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study investigates H4TBAPy‐based metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) ‐ NU‐1000, NU‐901, SrTBAPy, and BaTBAPy ‐ for multiphoton absorption (MPA) performance. It observes topology‐dependent variations in the 2PA cross‐section, with BaTBAPy exhibiting the highest activity.

A Design of Low Profile Microstrip Patch Antenna With Bandwidth Enhancement

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
It is known that for a microstrip antenna (patch antenna) resonant in a single mode, if the height of the antenna is strictly limited, the bandwidth is narrow, and the performance at the side frequencies is worse than that at the centre frequency.

Throughput sensitivity to antenna pattern and orientation in 802.11n networks [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
In this paper the throughput and packet error rate for an in-home 802.11n network is theoretically derived for two different types of 3x3 antenna configurations.

Near‐Infrared Emitting Lanthanide Catecholate Giant Single Crystals – Morphology Control and Photon Down‐Conversion

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Controlled syntheses of lanthanide coordination polymers based on the dihydroxybenzoquinone (DHBQ) organic linker afforded large single crystals of Ln‐DHBQ CPs (Ln = Yb, Nd). A novel structural variant of Yb‐DHBQ is identified by means of single crystal diffraction analysis.

Compact Broadband Microstrip Triangular Antennas Fed By Folded Triangular Patch for Wireless Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Electromagnetics, 2021
This study presents two new designs of reduced size broadband microstrip patch antennas for ultra-wideband (UWB) operation. A folded triangular patch’s feeding technique, V-shaped slot, half V-shaped slot and shorting pins are employed to design the ...

Wideband dual-polarised microstrip patch antenna

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 2001
A dual-polarised microstrip antenna capable of achieving a wide bandwidth, a high isolation, low cross-polarisation levels and low backward radiation levels is presented. The H-shaped coupling aperture is used. For wide bandwidth and easy integration with active circuits, it uses the aperture-coupled stacked microstrip square patches.

Wide-band planar inverted-F antenna for cognitive radio [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
A wide-band Planar Inverted-F Antenna (PIFA) is presented. The proposed antenna is simply structured consist of main patch supported by shorting wall and shorting pin, fed by 50 ohm microstrip transmission line. The antenna achieves an enhanced impedance

Positive‐Tone Nanolithography of Antimony Trisulfide with Femtosecond Laser Wet‐Etching

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A butyldithiocarbamic acid (BDCA) etchant is used to fabricate various micro‐ and nanoscale structures on amorphous antimony trisulfide (a‐Sb2S3) thin film via femtosecond laser etching. Numerical analysis and experimental results elucidate the patterning mechanism on gold (reflective) and quartz (transmissive) substrates.
