A Sequential Compressed Spectrum Sensing Algorithm against SSDH Attack in Cognitive Radio Networks

open access: yesJournal of Electrical and Computer Engineering, 2018
Spectrum sensing is one of the key technologies in wireless wideband communication. There are still challenges in respect of how to realize fast and robust wideband spectrum sensing technology.

Wideband Sequential Spectrum Sensing with Varying Thresholds [PDF]

open access: yes2010 IEEE Global Telecommunications Conference GLOBECOM 2010, 2010
In this contribution, time varying threshold sequential detectors are employed for energy detection-based spectrum sensing in low- SNR regimes. Sequential detection is proven to be faster (on average) than any other multi-sample detector for a set of given probabilities of detection and false-alarm.

A Recursive Algorithm for Joint Time-Frequency Wideband Spectrum Sensing [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
—In wideband spectrum sensing, secondary or un-licensed users take signal measurements over a given wide spectrum band and attempt to determine subbands for which the spectrum is idle and thus available for use.

A Recursive Algorithm for Wideband Temporal Spectrum Sensing

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Communications, 2018
Wideband spectrum sensing techniques determine which portions of a given spectrum band are occupied or idle in the frequency domain. The idle portions represent spectrum holes that can potentially be exploited by secondary or unlicensed users. Existing methods for wideband sensing, however, do not take into account the temporal activity of the primary ...

Wideband Spectrum Sensing Based on Reconfigurable Filter Bank in Cognitive Radio

open access: yesFuture Internet, 2019
In order to ease the conflict between the bandwidth demand of high-rate wireless communication and the shortage of spectrum resources, a wideband spectrum sensing method based on reconfigurable filter bank (RFB) with adjustable resolution is presented ...

Distributed wideband spectrum sensing for cognitive radio networks [PDF]

open access: yes2014 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech and Signal Processing (ICASSP), 2014
Wideband spectrum sensing improves the agility of spectrum sensing and spectrum hand-off in cognitive radio systems. In this paper, a distributed wideband spectrum sensing technique over adaptive diffusion networks is proposed. Considering unknown and different channels between the primary and the cognitive users, an averaged received power spectrum ...

Reliable wideband multichannel spectrum sensing using randomized sampling schemes

open access: yes, 2010
A wideband multichannel spectrum sensing approach that utilizes nonuniform sampling and digital alias-free signal processing (DASP) to reliably sense the spectrum using sampling rates well below the ones used in classical DSP is proposed.

Low Energy Consumption Compressed Spectrum Sensing Based on Channel Energy Reconstruction in Cognitive Radio Network

open access: yesSensors, 2020
For wireless communication networks, cognitive radio (CR) can be used to obtain the available spectrum, and wideband compressed sensing plays a vital role in cognitive radio networks (CRNs).
