Gingival condition in areas of minimal and appreciable width of keratinized gingival

Journal of Clinical Periodontology, 1977
Abstract. Sixteen dental, dental hygiene, and dental assisting students and dental faculty members who had contralateral or unilateral areas of minimal (≤ 1.0 mm) and appreciable (≥ 2.0 mm) widths of keratinized gingiva on mid‐buccal plaque‐free surfaces of mandibular bicuspids were examined. Gingival exudate amounts and clinical inflammation based on

The width of clinically-defined keratinized gingiva in the mixed dentition.

ASDC journal of dentistry for children, 2002
Some authors have noticed a clear decrease of the width of keratinized gingiva when they compared the width over deciduous and newly erupted permanent teeth. Long-term Case Reports Demonstrating Use of Porcine Collagen Matrix to Augment Width and Thickness of Keratinized Gingiva.

Compendium of continuing education in dentistry (Jamesburg, N.J. : 1995), 2020
Gingival augmentation therapy is intended to create a healthy band of attached keratinized tissue to inhibit further gingival recession, facilitate plaque control, and improve patient comfort. Although an effective treatment for gingival augmentation procedures, the often-used autogenous epithelialized palatal graft has several drawbacks, including the
