Approximate Wiener--Hopf Factorization and Monte Carlo Methods for Lévy Processes

Theory of Probability and its Applications, 2019
In the present paper, we justify the convergence formulas for approximate Wiener--Hopf factorization to exact formulas for factors from a broad class of Levy processes.

Explicit Matrix Wiener–Hopf Factorizations

SIAM Journal on Applied Mathematics, 1976
The explicit Wiener–Hopf factorization of the dispersion matrix $\Lambda (z)$ is obtained for two scattering models which occur in neutron transport theory and in the theory of radiative transfer. The solution is obtained by reducing the matrix factorization to a system of explicitly solvable scalar equations.

Simultaneous Wiener–Hopf equations

Canadian Journal of Physics, 1980
In Noble's book The Wiener Hopf Technique, Pergamon, 1958, he considers the coupled system of Wiener–Hopf equations (§4.4, pp. 153–154)[Formula: see text]He shows that provided the functions L(α), M(α), Q(α), and R(α) have only simple pole singularities the solution can be reduced to two sets of infinite simultaneous linear algebraic equations.

Wiener‐Hopf Equation Revisited

Kybernetes, 1994
Discusses a class of integral equations known as the famous Wiener‐Hopf equation which has interesting practical applications in stochastic systems like queues, network queues or water reservoir systems.

Wiener-Hopf operators on U2

Integral Equations and Operator Theory, 1979
In this paper, we describe the symbol calculus and index theorem for Wiener-Hopf operators on the group of complex 2×2 unitary matrices U2.

Wiener-Hopf optimal control of a hydraulic canal prototype with fractional order dynamics.

ISA transactions, 2017
This article addresses the control of a laboratory hydraulic canal prototype that has fractional order dynamics and a time delay. Controlling this prototype is relevant since its dynamics closely resembles the dynamics of real main irrigation canals ...

Wiener-Hopf factorizations

Transport Theory and Statistical Physics, 1973
Extensive results on Wiener-Hopf factorizations of matrix and operator-valued functions are contained in the works of Krein and Gohberg. For a restricted class of functions, these results are demonstrated by elementary methods and related to energy-dependent transport theory.

Wiener-Hopf Operators

1985
We already proved some deep theorems on Fredholm operators, but our supply of examples is still very small, even trivial, as we only studied the following types of Fredholm operators: 1. The identity operator Id. 2. The shift operator shift+ (with respect to an orthonormal basis); See Example 1.1. 3.

Ensembles de Wiener-Hopf II

Canadian Mathematical Bulletin, 1970
