Statistical Study of the Entanglement for Qubit Interacting with an Electromagnetic Field
A statistical method is applied to predict the behaviour of a quantum model consisting of a qubit interacting with a single-mode cavity field. The qubit is prepared in excited state while the field starts from the binomial distribution state.

Investigating Quantum Coherence by Negative Excursions of the Wigner Quasi-Distribution
Quantum information and quantum communication are both strongly based on concepts of quantum superposition and entanglement. Entanglement allows distinct bodies, that share a common origin or that have interacted in the past, to continue to be described ...

Quantifying Information via Shannon Entropy in Spatially Structured Optical Beams
While information is ubiquitously generated, shared, and analyzed in a modern-day life, there is still some controversy around the ways to assess the amount and quality of information inside a noisy optical channel.

Classical distribution functions derived from Wigner distribution functions [PDF]
Summary: A mapping which relates the Wigner phase-space distribution function associated with a given stationary quantum-mechanical wavefunction to a specific solution of the time-independent Liouville transport equation is obtained. Two examples are studied.

Comment on ‘Wigner function for a particle in an infinite lattice’
It is pointed out that in a recent paper (2012 New J. Phys. 14 103009) in which a Wigner function for a particle in an infinite lattice (a system described by an unbounded discrete coordinate and its conjugate angle-like momentum) has been introduced, no

Angular dependence of the Wigner time delay upon strong-field ionization from an aligned p orbital
We present experimental data on the strong-field ionization of the argon dimer in a co-rotating two-color laser field. We observe a subcycle interference pattern in the photoelectron momentum distribution and infer the Wigner time delay using holographic

On the Octonion Cross Wigner Distribution of 3-D Signals
This paper introduces definitions of the octonion cross Wigner distribution (OWD) and the octonion ambiguity function, forming a pair of octonion Fourier transforms. The main part is devoted to the study of the basic properties of the OWD. Among them are
