The letter from Shao-Lun Zhai and others ( VR , 29 February 2020, vol 186, p 254) indicates that the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) might have pangolins as a potential intermediate host. I understand that a coronavirus with a similar genome to the human form has been isolated from them.
