Attacks on humans by wild boar (Sus scrofa) are occasionally reported in rural areas of Turkey. While fatalities are rare, individuals may sustain significant soft tissue trauma. Lower extremity lacerations of up to 10 cm in length and 4 cm deep were seen in the 3 cases reviewed. Injuries to the upper abdomen and chest occurred in one case.

Appearance of the wild boar brain
Cells Tissues Organs, 1977On eight brains of wild boars, the appearance of the exterior and interior brain structures was studied. The brain was preserved in the skull by formalin solution injection into the carotid artery. After having been set up for 4 months in a 5% formalin solution, the brain was removed in conjunction with the coverings.
