EPIZOOTOLOGY OF SARCOCYSTOSIS IN DOMESTIC AND WILD RUMINANTS
Sarcocystosis is a widespread invasion of domestic and wild ruminants in the Udmurt Republic. The infection degree is 2.5 times higher in wild animals and amounts to 83.3%; cattle infestation according to the results of our studies is within 33.3%.

This study identified a molecule named lncRSFD, which is highly expressed in sheep adipose tissues. The lncRSFD gene generates two distinct transcript variants via alternative splicing: lncRSFD‐L and lncRSFD‐S. Functionally, lncRSFD alternative splicing (lncRSFD‐L/S) promotes the proliferation, differentiation, and lipid metabolism of adipocytes ...

Our paper systematically reviews the intestinal structure, function, and microbiota of ostriches, along with strategies for improving their gut health. We analyze how these factors collectively influence intestinal homeostasis and ostrich welfare, emphasizing probiotics as a promising intervention to enhance gut health, boost population well‐being, and

Sheep Horn Development Revealed by Multi‐Tissue and Cross‐Species Transcriptomic Analysis
Multi‐tissue and cross‐species transcriptomics with allele‐specific expression show sheep horns are a composite organ integrating epidermal and osteogenic programs. Conserved horn gene modules and cis‐regulatory variation fine‐tune expression networks underlying horn development and size (small scurs vs. large spiral horns).

Spermatozoa collected from the cauda epididymis of wild ruminants are more cryoresistant than ejaculated spermatozoa. Changes in the membrane location of aquaporins (AQPs) follow the osmotic changes that occur during freeze-thawing, and might influence ...

LIPIDS IN WILD RUMINANT ANIMALS AND STEERS
ABSTRACTLipid was extracted from the biceps femoris and longissimus dorsi muscles of pronghorn antelope, mule deer, elk, range steers and feedlot steers after being trimmed of subcutaneous fat and connective tissue. Muscles of game animals contained more phospholipids than those of steers and muscles of antelope and deer were higher in cholesterol ...

This graphical abstract outlines a multi‐omics framework investigating the seasonal dietary composition and gut microbial communities of three coexisting ungulate species inhabiting the extreme high‐altitude Pamir Plateau (Ovis ammon polii, Capra sibirica, and Pseudois nayaur). By integrating dietary DNA metabarcoding, 16S rRNA gene sequencing, shotgun

Canine Distemper Virus Research in China and Future Directions for Conservation 中国犬瘟热病毒研究现状与保护策略展望
ABSTRACT Canine distemper is a highly contagious, severe disease caused by the canine distemper virus (CDV). With a worldwide distribution and ever‐expanding list of susceptible hosts, CDV poses a growing risk for many threatened wildlife species, both in captivity and their native habitats. As a megadiverse country, China is home to myriad endemic and
