Trends in marine species distribution models: a review of methodological advances and future challenges

open access: yesEcography, EarlyView.
Correlative species distribution models (SDMs) are quantitative tools in biogeography and macroecology. Building upon the ecological niche concept, they correlate environmental covariates to species presence to model habitat suitability and predict species distributions.

Application of the Williams Expansion near a Bi-Material Interface

Key Engineering Materials, 2017
A simplified model of a crack approaching a bi-material interface is modelled by means of the finite element method in order to investigate the significance of the higher-order terms of the Williams expansion for the proper approximation of the opening crack-tip stress near the bi-material interface.
